Battery Show panelist, Glynne Townsend, continued his preparation for The Battery Show conference last weekend by organizing a team of twelve runners from The Townsend Company, who along with 3300 other entrants competed in Northville Michigan's annual Solstice Run.
The team raised over a $1000 for the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute along the way, with the help of sponsorships from The Townsend Company, The Battery Show, Smith Electric Vehicles and BPL International. Glynne founded the Townsend Company in 2010, based on the belief that if alternative energy was to succeed, then the companies pioneering that effort needed to be successful themselves. Prior to founding the company, he led the revenue growth at A123 Systems, a leading supplier of lithium-ion batteries.
Glynne will be leading the discussions on the panel ‘Reductions in Battery Costs that Extend Beyond the Microscope’, Tuesday October 25 at 2.30pm. To view the full conference program please click here
